Things to Do in Lahore 2026 — The Complete City Guide

Lahore is Pakistan's cultural capital — the city of food, history, Mughal architecture, and the warmest hospitality you will find anywhere in the country. If you can only visit one city in Pakistan, make it Lahore. This guide covers everything you need to do, eat, and see in Lahore in 2026 — from the Badshahi Mosque to Anarkali food street. WhatsApp us for Lahore trip planning.

Morning: Badshahi Mosque and Lahore Fort

Start at the Badshahi Mosque — built in 1673 by Emperor Aurangzeb, it was the largest mosque in the world for over 300 years. The scale is genuinely overwhelming — the courtyard alone fits 100,000 worshippers. Entry is free. Photography is allowed. Walk 50 meters to Lahore Fort (Shahi Qila) — a UNESCO World Heritage Site with Mughal palaces, gardens, and museums. Entry: 500 PKR for Pakistanis. Allow 2-3 hours for both.

Afternoon: Walled City and Food Street

Walk through Delhi Gate into the Walled City of Lahore — narrow lanes, centuries-old havelis, and the chaotic beauty of old Lahore. Visit Wazir Khan Mosque (the most beautiful mosque in Pakistan after Badshahi, with intricate tile work), and end at Fort Road Food Street — Lahore's best outdoor dining experience. Try Hafeez Jalebi for fresh jalebis, Baba Fish for fried fish, and any of the rooftop restaurants for dinner with a view of the Badshahi Mosque lit up at night. A full meal costs 1,500-3,000 PKR per person.

Evening: Liberty Market and MM Alam Road

For shopping, visit Liberty Market — Lahore's most famous bazaar for clothing, jewelry, and souvenirs. For modern Lahore, drive to MM Alam Road in Gulberg — the city's best restaurant row. Try Salt n Pepper Village for a buffet of Pakistani dishes, Cannon Kabab for Afghani cuisine, or any cafe on MM Alam for coffee and desserts. The area is also known for upscale shopping at Packages Mall (5 minutes away).

    Other Must-Do Things in Lahore

    • Minar-e-Pakistan: The independence monument in Iqbal Park. Climb to the top for a city view. Entry: 20 PKR.
    • Shalimar Gardens: Mughal-era gardens built by Shah Jahan. Beautiful in spring. Entry: 100 PKR.
    • Jilani Park (Racecourse): Jogging track, gardens, and a peaceful escape from the city noise. Free entry.
    • Lahore Museum: One of Pakistan's best museums. Gandhara art, Mughal artifacts, miniature paintings. Entry: 50 PKR.
    • Wagah Border Ceremony: The daily flag-lowering ceremony at the India-Pakistan border. Starts at 5 PM (arrive by 4 PM). Free entry. One of the most patriotic experiences in Pakistan.
    • Emporium Mall: Largest mall in Lahore. Cinema, food court, international brands. Good for families.
    • Sohawa Village (on the way to Murree): If you have a car, drive 45 minutes to Sohawa for fresh air and mountain views.
